Video from our San Diego Trip

Walking the Lavender Labyrinth

We walked as much of it as possible. The resident bees were hard at work making lavender honey...yummmy!

Llama at Lavender Fields

Coronado Beach

We had Hotel del Coronado on one side of us and Cabrillo on the other side

We're back home in Louisiana! Though I have to say, as we were driving around San Diego I felt strange like we were home but we weren't home. I guess a year isn't enough time to disconnect from a place you've lived especially a place that has so many special memories. Thanks SD and thanks to our friends there! We miss you already!

Playdate

Our friend, Dawn, and her baby, Iliana, came to stay with us for a few days last week while Stephen was out of town. Annie seemed to ignored her but was clearly aware that she was there. She was wanting a lot more attention from me than usual. I'm getting a glimps into what it would be like with a second child.1st backyard playdate.
Unfortunately, Michael, Shelby and Noah all had fevers...we missed you guys! Annie and Henry had lots of fun playing near each other and every now and then they would "talk" to one another. Iliana sat in her mommy's lap and supervised the activities.
First stop: Sandbox

Second stop: Baby pool

Third stop: Sprinkler

The kids were having so much fun that we never made it to the trampoline or the swings and slide. Next time!

Family & Fun

Aunt Ashley's Graduation! Yeah, Ash! A birthday crawfish boil for Uncle Chris! Yummy!
Storytime at Barnes & Noble was about gardening so afterward they gave everyone clay pots to decorate and seeds to put in them. Annie couldn't understand why I didn't want her to drink the soil but she did have fun painting! Had I known what we were getting ourselves into I would have dressed us differently but we managed ok. I have learned that it is hard to tell the difference between yellow paint and sweet potatoes when it gets smeared in clothes.

Outside

The grass and everything in it is always facinating. Hanging out on the coffee roasting porch Mommy and I went for a walk and found some clover flowers to make necklaces out of.
Daddy showing me how good he is at crashing his new toy, a remote control helicopter! I think he likes to crash it because he spends so much more time fixing it than flying it.
(Do any of you remember my French dress?)
