Festival International de la Louisiane

So this was Annie's second Festival International de la Louisiane. This was taken just after we arrived.
It doesn't look like it but she really did have room for her feet in there!
Behind us is Scene Fais Do Do. (for those of you unfamiliar with Festival each "Scene" represents a stage that had music being played by bands from all around the world mostly from those countries with a French heritage)
Annie with some other kids playing at the water fountain near the Marche des Arts. She wasn't too keen on going in the water but did enjoy watching the other kids

Annie couldn't wait for us to take her out of the Radio Flyer to start dancing at Scene International!

Watching the puppet show at La Place des Enfants

It was about 85 degrees and shade was hard to come by but we managed to find a nice spot behind the stage at La Place des Enfants for the parentals to stop and rest. Annie of course was more interested in walking and dancing.

Daddy and Annie leaving La Place des Enfants

Done for the day!

Last year at Festival near Scene Lafayette. She was only about 5 months old.

New Friends

Right around Easter we had the opportunity to meet 3 mos old Harper for the first time. The kids weren't as up for taking pictures as we were...this was the best I had.
Our new friends: Onnarin Sattayabanphot, from Thailand, and Stephanie Ruiz, from Oklahoma. They're staying with us during the Louisiana Pelican Classic this week for the Duramed Futures Tour. The competition starts today and we're wishing them both the best of luck!

Belly Buttons!

We went to visit our friends, the Burokers, just before Easter. Shelby is Annie's age (about 18 mos.) and Michael is 2 1/2 years. We had lots of fun searching for Easter Eggs...Michael was a big help showing the girls what to do. I thought this clip of the girls showing each other there belly buttons was too cute not to post!
Annie was not feeling well this week. I thought it was teething and allergy issues and it probably started out as that. I finally took her to the doctor Friday and it turns out she had the beginnings of her first ear infection. I'm so glad we caught it before it became worse! Today she is back to her old wonderfully interesting self.
